INKreator's Blog Hop - One Sheet Wonder

Hello faithful readers! Things here have been going well but I have some sad news, this is going to be our last INKreator Blog Hop! I have so loved hopping along every month with Liv, Rochelle and Michelle! Unfortunately for me my Fine Arts Degree has taken over my time, so I'll be stepping back from scrapbooking, Project Life and card making for a while. I'll also be giving the blog an overhaul - so watch this space! Anyway, on to the hop!

Today we are doing 'One Sheet Wonders'! You have hopped here from the beautiful Rochelle! I love the idea of using one sheet of paper and the potential that you have to mass produce some great cards and use all of your beautiful Designer Series Paper.

I followed a great tutorial on Craftsy by Michelle Boyer  who used one sheet of paper to create 14 cards. Here is the Template that Michelle used and it is amazing!

How awesome is that! I used the beautiful new DSP, POP OF PINK which is gorgeous! I made sure that I chose a paper that I loved both sides, so that I could create a mix of cards and patterns. This is the paper I worked with:

I used both sides, along with coordinating Melon Mambo and Basic Black paper, ink and sequins to create 14 simple cards. Wouldn't these be great to pop in a box and give to someone as a lovely gift?

For the sentiments I used the exclusive stamp set from the Oh Happy Day kit! I love this kit and the stamps - they are so fun!

I hope you loved the cards - they are suitable for any level of crafter to make and within an hour I had made 14 cards - BONUS!

Next up on the hop we have the gorgeous Michelle and her creations - so head over and take a look!

I have adored hopping along with these ladies and I hope you have loved it all! I'll be back soon - I promise! Lauren xxx

INKreator's Blog Hop - The New Annual Catalogue

Hi everybody - can you believe it is July!!! Time has flown since our last INKreator Blog Hop in May. We took June off to celebrate the arrival of Liv's new baby INK! He is amazing and well worth postponing a blog hop! This month we are looking at all things in the new Annual Catalogue!

You have come to me from the gorgeous Rochelle who has, as always, made some beautiful creations! If you haven't had a chance to check out the Annual Catalogue head over to my Stampin' Up online store to not only download a copy but to also purchase so many of the gorgeous new goodies!

Today I decided to showcase the new suite of 2016-17 In-Colours - I think these would have to be some of my favourite in-colours. They are almost jewel-like! I have created three cards, and coordinating envelopes, using the In-Colour papers, the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack and the Pop of Paradise Stamp Set!

The first card is using Emerald Envy as the central colour, I then stamped the two palm leaves on the paper to create a cool pattern. I then added a raised palm frond and the hello sentiment, along with some of the new Black Metallic Thread! Which I love!

The next card using the super cute Flamingo Card and the very appropriate new Flirty Flamingo pink! I embellished the card using the Playful Palette paper, and then drew the black and the in-colour to further embellish the card. I topped it off with a sentiment from the Pop of Paradise Stamp Set.

The final card card is very simple and a perfect one to whip up in a hurry when you need a quick card. I used Perfectly Peach Cardstock, some of the DSP and then stamped the thinking of you in Sweet Sugarplum. Very easy and I think it works well! So there you have it - my contribution to this month's blog hop. I loved sharing my creations with you all!

Next up you are off to the lovely Michelle and her stunning creations!

Don't forget that you can order any of these great new products directly from my online store - so head on over and grab some of these wonderful new goodies! I'll be back soon with more fun, so in the mean time have a crafty July! Love, Lauren

INKreator's Blog Hop - 'It's My Party' Scrapbooking Layout

Hi everyone, it's May! Can't you believe it? I know that I say that every month. I truly think that this year has flown by! A new month means another blog hop with the gorgeous INKreator's girls. This month was my turn to decide the theme for the hop so I chose Scrapbooking Pages! Whether it be Project Life or traditional layouts you know I am a scrapbooker at heart!

You have arrived here from Rochelle's blog - where I know that you have seen some simply stunning scrapbooking pages!

I haven't scrapbooked in such a long time that I thought this would be the perfect chance for me to start on my 2016 album with a photo of us welcoming the New Year at our friend's New Year's Eve party!

I have been loving the Occasions Catalogue and I am sad that we will be saying goodbye to lots of the great products in this catalogue at the end of the month. So I decided to work with one of the retiring product suites 'It's My Party'.

This has certainly been one of my favourite lines in a long time and for this layout I have used the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack, designer washi tape and baker's twine, along with the Party Wishes stamp set.

To finish off the layout I added some extra embellishments such as the Expressions Natural Elements, the Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the Brights Candy Dots.

For the title I used one of my all time favourite stamp sets - Layered Letters. So there you have it - a new layout to kick off my new album (now to catch up on the past four months of events)!

Next up you are heading over to Michelle's blog where she has an amazing project life spread for you to check out.

Make sure that you visit all of the other hoppers:

Don't forget that you can purchase all of the products I have used in this post over in my online store - so make sure that you head over and buy all of your favourite items from the Occasions Catalogue - things are going quick!

Next month, Stampin' Up! is launching the new annual catalogue - if you would like me to send you a copy please let me know. I can't wait to show you all of the awesome new goodies in the catalogue! Have a great month! Lauren xxx

INKreator's Blog Hop - Balloon Celebration!

Hello everyone! Can you believe that it is March? The past month has absolutely flown and now it is Autumn! Apologies again for being MIA - life just always seems to get in the way! Anyway, a new month means a new INKreator's Blog Hop and this month is all about balloons!

Lot's of you would have arrived here from the very talented Rochelle's blog - her creations, as always, are absolutely stunning!

For this blog hop we are all about balloons and in particular I have chosen to use the new Balloon Celebration stamp set and coordinating punch - you can purchase these and all of the other products I have used here in my online store.

The image is taken from the Stampin' Up! website. Originally I wasn't going to buy this stamp set and punch, but once I started using it, I just realised how versatile and handy they are!

Today I wanted to show you how to create quick and easy cards using Project Life cards as the base.

I am using the new Project Life collection from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue - Memories in the Making (the above image show's a selection of the cards and is from the Stampin' Up! website).

I chose four 4x4 cards and one 4x6 card to use as my card bases.

I think a lot of people think of Project Life cards as simply being about memory keeping, however they are perfect to use as card bases, plus you get such a great variety of patterns. This collection also has a few balloons, so it was perfect for this balloon spectacular!

I started with the 4x4 cards and used coordinating card stock for the card bases and mounts. Starting with the 'celebration' card - this card was pre-printed with the celebration sentiment and the coloured ink splats - to embellish it I stamped the four balloons and strings using the two-step stamping technique, the stars and then topped it off with a Daffodil Delight Candy Dot. For the next card I used the dots as the base and I then punched out the balloons in different coordinating card stock and then stamped with the same colour ink. In black I stamped the sentiment, the bow and the strings and then adhered the balloons to the card, using dimensionals to pop-up two of the balloons.

The other two cards I whipped up to show you that not all cards using this stamp set have to have balloons. The spring card was pre-printed and all I did was add the dandelion blossoms in tempting turquoise to subtly reflect spring (the season) and topped it off with some rhinestones and a candy dot. The last 4x4 card had the yellow burst so I all to do was stamp the sentiment and add some bling! So easy!

I used the balloon 4x6 card as the card base for the larger card. I then punched and stamped out a Daffodil Delight balloon and then defined it with the outline stamp in basic black, along with the bow and string. I had to trim the card base so I used the reverse side to cut out a banner for the happy birthday sentiment. I then topped off the card with some Candy Dots.

So there you have it - five simple but effective cards. I know that lots of my blog readers are Project Lifers so why don't you break out your PL stash and make some cards!

Now you are off to visit the gorgeous Michelle and her amazing creations.

INKreator's Blog Hop - Occasions Catalogue

So it turns out that my new years resolution of posting more on the blog hasn't been the most successful - I promise to post more! I really do! I have my first workshop coming up so I can't wait to show you the creations we will be making this weekend! Today though we are back with another awesome instalment of the INKreator's Blog Hop.

You have probably joined me from the lovely Rochelle over at the Stamping Block and her creations, as always, are amazing! She has a way with working with flowers doesn't she!

Today I am using one of the great bundles from the new Occasions Catalogue - the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set and the Blossom Bunch punch. When you purchase a bundle you save 15% - how awesome is that!

When I first got this stamp set at On Stage Local as one of our many awesome freebies I wasn't sure, but once I got started with it, I was hooked. Not only did I want to showcase these great new products but I also wanted to use three products today from the Annual Catalogue that are awesome basics to have in your card making kit - the Aqua Painter, Shimmery White Cardstock and the Square Envelopes. All the items I have used are available in my online store.

The first card today is using the leaves from the Grateful Bunch stamp set which I stamped randomly on a piece of Shimmery White card stock, along with a sentiment. This paper is perfect for water colouring so using Old Olive I water coloured the leaves using the Old Olive Stampin' Write marker and the Aqua Painter. I then layered this with card stock and also a sheet of paper from the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper (which is a great Sale-a-bration product) that you can get for FREE when you spend $90 or more during the Sale-a-bration period.

Next up, I created a series of small cards to coordinate with the small Square Envelopes. I created these cards using the five 2015-2017 In-Colours. I stamped the large flower in Staz-on and a sentiment on the card, water coloured the flowers and I then stamped and punched out the flowers to layer on the card. I also stamped flowers on the envelope. These are great little cards to have on hand, or together make a lovely gift for someone.

So there you have it, my creations for the blog hop! I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them! Now you are off to visit the gorgeous Michelle and her amazing creations.

New Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration begins!

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry things have been quiet - one of my new years resolutions is to regular post on the blog, whether it be Stampin' Up! goodies, book and film reviews, food or just general day to day life!

Today is an awesome day! It is the launch of both the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration. Let's talk about the Occasions Catalogue and then get into some of the awesome rewards that Sale-a-bration has to offer you all!

The Occasions Catalogue is full of so many great products and today I want to talk to you all about the 'It's My Party' product suite. I absolutely adore this product suite - it's so gorgeous and perfect for men, women and all types of celebrations! As soon as I got my pre-order I started whipping up lots of things!

One of the best things about this kit is the Designer Series Paper Stack - rather than the usual 12 pieces of paper, it has a whopping 48 pieces of 12x12 perfect for all of your card making and scrapbooking needs - you might even want to share a pack with a friend.

This pack is so versatile, so I wanted to show you some of the things I've made, but I'm sure during the course of the Occasions Catalogue I will have lots more to share. Above I made a gift box full of treats for a friend, using the It's My Party DSP stack, the Party Wishes Stamp Set, and the awesome Bakers Twine combo pack - Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron - swoon!

I then made some cards and a gift bag too to give to friends celebrating their birthdays - I absolutely adore the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - it's just so cute.

One of my favourite things about the It's My Party collection are the Party Punch Pack - candles, cupcakes and a balloon! Not only do they coordinate with the stamp set but they also look awesome punched out of the DSP or card stock!

I also decided to stamp the Party Wishes cake stamp inside the card I made - I love this look and this year I need to make sure that I stamp the inside of cards more often (as well as envelopes)!

So there you have some samples from our awesome It's My Party Suite. I know that you will adore these products! I would love to come and host a workshop for you and your friends using these great products! INKreator's Blog Hop - Sale-a-bration Sneak Peak!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Inkreator's Sale-a-bration blog hop! If you have arrived here from the lovely Rochelle I am sure that you loved looking at her gorgeous creations!

Happy Wednesday! I'm so sorry that things have been quiet here on the blog - the holiday season has been flat out and while I have been crafting up a storm I haven't had a chance to show you all. I will post all of my creations soon!

Can you believe that it is almost 2016! You know what January means - Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration time! Sale-a-bration is an amazing time - for every $90 that you spend, you get free exclusive Sale-a-bration product! Not only does Sale-a-bration start on 5 January, but so does the new Occasions Catalogue, so it will be so easy to earn free products with all of the new goodies that are on the way!

Today on the blog we are giving you a sneak peak of Sale-a-bration products and I am using two of the products that you can earn - the Botanicals For You Stamp Set and the Botanical Gardens Vellum. These two products coordinate perfectly with the Botanical Gardens range in the Occasions Catalogue and in my samples today I have used the Botanical Builder Framelits, the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and the Botanical Gardens DSP.

My first creation is my '…Because You're Awesome' card. The Botanicals Stamp Set is perfect for all occasions and I used it for the sentiment and the stamped flower. I then layered the Botanical Gardens Vellum over a coordinating piece of the Botanical Gardens DSP and some card stock. I then die cut the palm frond and the flower from the Botanical Builder Framelits - as these are intricate dies I used my precision plate, along with a great new product that is in the Occasions Catalogue, the Big Shot Die Brush (which is fantastic at separating the paper from the die).

For my second product I created a gift bag tag by stamping the 'Just for You' sentiment from the stamp set on a piece of the vellum. I then layered in on some Mossy Meadow card stock and used my Scalloped tag punch. finally I topped it with some more die cuts and tied it off with some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine.

Finally, I had to create this awesome bendy card that was inspired by a card created by an amazing crafter called Nicole Wilson using the Botanical Gardens suite of products. As soon as I saw this card I knew I had to make it! I added a sentiment from the Botanicals For You stamp set and used different papers. As you can see on the leaves, I used the Botanical Blooms stamp set to add details to the leaves.

So there you have it - my creations using the gorgeous Sale-a-bration product, the Botanicals For You Stamp Set and the Botanical Gardens Vellum. I also used the Botanical Gardens Suite from the new Occasions Catalogue.

Next up in the blog hop you are headed to Michelle, who I know will have created some stunning things! If you missed any of the hoppers, keep hopping and make sure you hop on over and leave them some love!
